Elkhart County Sheriff's Detectives arrested a man Thursday who they say made bomb threats earlier in the week.

Kenneth L. Childress, 25, was arrested at the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department. He was being questioned for False Reporting, a Class D Felony.

Childress is accused of threatening to plant a bomb in county and city courthouses, as well as the prosecutor's office. The threats were made on Tuesday, March 25.

Though the investigation revealed no actual threat to the courthouses or the prosecutor’s office, "the Sheriff’s Department takes a strong stance in holding those accountable for making false threats that disrupt the community and its resources," said Capt. James L. Bradberry through a press release.
