Someone stole a dog because it was outside in a kennel back in June and the owners now have their four-legged friend back.
Back in June, the bizarre story of the Perez family's dog, Aspen, began when he disappeared overnight. They found a note saying that dogs shouldn't be confined to a kennel because they get lonely.
Since then they've put up signs like this one outside their home on Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor and blanketed the area with fliers. And now Tuesday night, the Perez family has Aspen back at home.
They received a call about Aspen from the South Bend Animal Shelter, so now this bizarre story has a good ending.
