Donald Sterling is no longer in control of the Los Angeles Clippers.
NBC News has confirmed that Sterling has given control of the team to his estranged wife Shelley, an alternate governor and 50 percent owner of the Clippers.
Also, Shelley Sterling, who has been in negotiations with the NBA, plans on voluntarily selling the team.
The move comes before a June 3rd vote by the other 29 NBA owners that could have forced Donald Sterling to sell the franchise.
Sterling was banned for life by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on April 29th after an audio recording surfaced of Sterling making racially charged comments to his girlfriend.
