MISHAWAKA, Ind. - For the NCAA, the phrase Stay in Bounds refers to action happening on the field.
However, for Mishawaka High School, the phrase took on a completely new meaning.
Stay in Bounds is a program put together by the NCAA and Mishawaka High School that teaches fourth grade students about responsibility and cooperation.
The program is composed of nine Mishawaka student athletes, who visited Hums Elementary Friday.
Senior Caleb Gabler says that the program has long-term benefits for both fourth graders and high school students.
Stay in Bounds visited three elementary schools in addition to Hums elementary Friday.
Their goal is to put children on the right path as early as possible.
