A police standoff that lasted nearly two hours ended peacefully in North Judson on Wednesday night.

Around 5:30 p.m. police were called to a home in the 400 block of State Road 10. That’s where a man had barricaded himself inside a house with a gun.

Dispatchers tell NewsCenter16 that no hostages were involved.

Surrounding roads were blocked off for safety purposes as police and other emergency crews responded.

According to our reporting partners at WKVI Radio, the SWAT team from Starke and Pulaski Counties was among those called in to help.

The suspect finally surrendered without incident at around 7:15 p.m. after nearly two hours.

The man has since been identified as Warren Chapman, 48, of North Judson and is now in police custody with charges pending.

No one was injured.
