South Bend, Ind. You can join a watch party for the upcoming "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon -- aired by all of the major networks, including right here on NBC.
"Stand Up to Cancer" is an annual event that raises money to fund research. The hour-long telecast will feature a long list of celebrities, including musical performers.
The program is coming up on Friday, September 5th at 8 pm eastern.
A watch party will be held at Harper Cancer Research Institute, located on Notre Dame Avenue in South Bend, from 7 to 9 p.m.
It’s sponsored by the American Cancer Society's South Bend Relay for Life.
There is a $15 registration fee that includes refreshments. There will also be a chance to win door prizes and bid in a silent auction. We have registration details on the Big Red Bar.
The South Bend "Stand Up to Cancer" viewing party is one of more than 200 across the country vying for the opportunity to be featured during the live telecast.
Money raised from the viewing parties will support the "Stand Up to Cancer" Lung Cancer Dream Team that is funded in part by the American Cancer Society.
