St. Joseph, MI It may not be long before new parking limits near Silver Beach are enforced year-round.

The St. Joseph city commission will be asked to make a decision on the measure at a meeting Monday.

The Downtown Development Authority proposed the change, and if approved, it would go into effect on May 1. That's according to our reporting partners at the Herald-Palladium.

In March of last year, the decision was made to limit free parking on St. Joseph's bluff to two hours, from memorial through labor day. The spaces were previously available all day, which some say hurt business because folks would only use them to go to the beach.
