St. Joseph's long time city manager won't be retiring after all, but he will be leaving the city earlier than expected.
Frank Walsh announced back in December that he would retire in August, in order to take care of his parents and start his own business.
Now, the Herald Palladium reports that Walsh has been offered the job of manager of Meridian Township near Lansing. He could start as soon as May.
The 47-year-old has served St. Joseph for 17 years and says he has too much passion for his job to give it up yet.
St. Joseph says they plan to hire a new manager before June.
