UPDATE: Man charged in Thursday shooting in South Bend

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. Charges were filed Friday against the teen who shot an apparent acquaintance of his Thursday night, west of South Bend.

Trey Lottie, 18, was charged with criminal recklessness for shooting 18-year-old timothy davis in the chest.

The shooting happened in the 24000 block of Northlea Drive, off State Road 2.

Police say Lottie admitted pointing the gun at Davis and pulling the trigger, but said he thought the gun wasn't loaded.

Lottie's bond is set at $30,000.

He remains in the St. Joseph County Jail.
