The Southwest Enforcement Team seized over 14,000 marijuana plants in Van Buren County on Saturday.

They received a tip on a marijuana grow in Covert Township.

Officers arrived in the area and saw two males that were armed, who were tending to a very large marijuana grow on public lands.

The males ran into the heavy underbrush after police tried to talk to them.
Police K-9 units tracked the males several miles away in the woods, off of CR 376, but were not able to find them.

The officers found 14,860 well-tended marijuana plants, guns, and an encampment in the area.
