Up and down the roads you've seen them; maybe you've even gone for a ride yourself. Friday folks who spent the week biking to work met for a luncheon in Downtown South Bend.
Both new and veteran cyclists of "Bike to Work Week" enjoyed the meal together as a reward for the many miles they put in.
Organizers say this year they had over one hundred teams sign up to ride on two wheels instead of four. Each team competed for bragging rights as they calculate their miles through Sunday.
They told stories about seeing fellow cyclists on their bikes, sharing the road with cars. It may seem like a tiring task to ride eight miles to work, but cyclist enjoy it.
"First thing in the morning, birds are chirping, the fresh air, you feel good the rest of the day," explains Nevin Mcelwrath a Bike the Bend participant.
Bike the Bend starts at 6:30 Sunday morning, and close to 1,500 people have signed up for the ride.
