South Bend students celebrated excellent ISTEP scores Friday by throwing their principal in the dunk tank.
Third and fourth grade students at Tarkington Traditional School had a chance to throw a ball at their principal, Melinda Ehmer to get her in the tank.
Some of the students have also raised over $1,000 for the truck pull that will be held Saturday.
Ehmer says the dunk tank was some encouragement for the students and staff.
“Our students have done a great job I think any extra support you can give them but it's also about celebrating our success,” said Ehmer. “Not only on the ISTEP scores, but just in general working hard every day it's a great way to celebrate along the way.”
NewsCenter 16’s Gabby Gonzales will be live from the town truck pull on 16 Saturday Morning.
