South Bend schools to host a truck pull fundraiser Saturday

South Bend, Ind. From car washes to shirt sales, organizations have tried just about everything to raise money. But an event this Saturday in South Bend can claim the title of "most unique."

For the fifth year, the education foundation is putting on a truck pull for South Bend schools. 38 teams will literally pull a 54-foot trailer against the clock.

Area businesses and organizations have partnered with 34 South Bend schools, to support 20 person teams competing for ultimate bragging rights.

All of the money raised stays within the schools and funds a reading program at every primary center in the area.

16 Saturday Morning will be up early for the event at the Century Center from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. The pull starts at 8 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m.
