South Bend park opens for snow innertubing

The recent swing of cold temperatures allowed a South Bend park to make enough snow to open up its winter innertubing.

St. Patrick’s County Park in South Bend brought out its snow making equipment and supplemented the natural snowfall to open its innertubing hill on the weekends starting on Jan. 26.

Between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. folks willing to brave the chilly temperatures can snow tube down the hill for $3 per person and a vehicle gate fee.

Innertubes will be provided, but sleds and toboggans are not allowed. For people who are unable to make it out on the weekends. St. Patrick’s County Park says private tubing parties are available Wednesday through Sunday.
