On Monday, a South Bend music business was setting for a million dollar auction event.

Big Bear Auction Company hosted the auction at The Music Factory in South Bend.

People traveled from as far as Indianapolis and Chicago to bid on guitars, keyboards, other musical instruments and a 1986 Ferrari.

The items had an estimated total retail value of about $1 million.

“Well Amy and I, owners of Big Bear Auction Company, were invited down to reduce the inventory of the music factory,” said Jerry Glassman, owner of Big Bear Auction. “They're moving out of the building into a smaller building.”

The auction was scheduled from 10 am-4 pm, but with the amount of products for sale, organizers expect the event to run into the evening.
