South Bend’s mayor appears in a new public service announcement urging Congress to pass gun control legislation.
The ad, sponsored by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, also features Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson. The group is funded by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The group wants Congress to take action to pass legislation to require background checks for all sales, to limit military-style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines and to make gun trafficking a federal crime.
