SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Lots of people took advantage of the cool weather tonight to enjoy a free outdoor event in South Bend.

It's 'Yoga On The Green' at Howard Park.

The Yoga Association of Michiana encourages everyone to come out and try, even if you've never done yoga before.

“We've had so many people say this has really helped me, this has saved my life, because they didn't have anywhere else they could go, or they had heard about yoga but they hadn't been able to go to any classes,” said Kim Teska, of the Yoga Association of Michiana.

This is the second summer they've offered these free classes, and they say anyone can benefit from it.

"We do yoga here, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 6-7 p.m., and it’s by donation, except some of the nights are sponsored by different people,” said Chelly Freel, a Yoga Instructor. “Tonight, I’m here with Memorial Health and Lifestyle.”

Once again, the class itself won't cost you a thing, but it is $1 to rent a yoga mat.
