One male was taken to the hospital Tuesday with non-life threatening injuries following a stabbing.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of East Jefferson.

Police were called to the scene for a domestic disturbance. Officers had been in the area, so they were able to quickly respond.

Emergency crews gathered in front of Cedar Glenn Apartments, but it's unclear whether the stabbing happened inside the building.

Investigators were looking for one male suspect who they believed left the scene in a gold Grand Prix.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., South Bend Police detained a suspect.
