Every store is looking for an edge to grab those last-minute holiday shoppers, and, for some retailers and restaurants, that even includes staying open on Christmas Day.
Starbucks on Main Street in Mishawaka has announced it will be open December 25 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. McDonald's is also urging its franchises to stay open on Christmas Day to help boost December sales, but the decision ultimately lies in the hands of the owners.
According to the company's website, most of the McDonald’s restaurants in our area will stay closed. But the fast food chain's Portage Avenue location in South Bend will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Day.
