Chicago aviation officials are reporting some delays and cancellations Thursday morning of incoming flights to O'Hare and Midway international airports.

Most scheduled departures are listed on time, but travelers should check with their airlines.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the area, starting at 3 p.m. So far, the region is seeing heavy rain with fog and mist.

The weather service says rain will turn to snow showers between 3 and 5 p.m., with snow heavy at times. There could be from 2 to 6 inches of snow in the Chicago area Thursday evening, with wind gusts up to 60 mph possible.

United Airlines is waiving change fees for travelers scheduled to fly out of O'Hare on Thursday who want to change their plans.
