Mishawaka, Ind. Members of the Silver Hawks took a break from the ballpark tonight, all for a good cause.
The team traded in their bats and gloves for aprons at Applebee's on Grape Road.
Players greeted guests and aided servers at tables.
Their tips went directly to Memorial Children's Hospital.
They say it was a great way to give back.
“It’s huge, it's really important, we're out here all summer, so any chance we can get to be with the community is a lot of fun,” said Silver Hawks pitcher J.R. Bradley.
The group estimates they raised over $650 at tonight's event, but they are still collecting.
