SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Silver Hawks hope you can carry a tune.

On Saturday, the team looked for people to sing the "Star Spangled Banner" at home games.

Those interested were encouraged to head to Four Winds Field in South Bend.

NewsCenter16 reporter Megan Hickey was also on-hand trying out for one of 70 spots during each of the home games at Four Winds Field.

Auditions took place from 9 a.m. until noon. The auditions were open for singers of all skill levels and ages.

The singers will be informed this week about whether or not they were chosen to perform for Silver Hawks fans this spring and summer.

Opening day is April 8th.
