Shooting on South Bend's west wide, suspects take off running

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- South Bend police are looking for suspects in a shooting today on the city's west side.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Ford.

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot in the back and rushed to the hospital. The man has non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for two black males who took off running from the scene.

It is not clear what sparked the shooting, and South Bend police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Officers had blocked off areas of Ford St. and Olive St. as they searched the area with K-9 units, but those streets are now open.
