SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Sentencing was postponed Wednesday for a South Bend man accused of attacking two people with a shovel and then stealing a car.

Daron Breveard allegedly attacked a man and woman in their home in the 600 block of South Kenmore in October 2013, and then fled with their van.

He is charged with two felony battery charges, and felony auto theft.

Breveard's hearing was postponed Wednesday because he did not review the research done by the court on his record and the case, before being sentenced.

Breveard is expected back in court to be sentenced on July 30.
