Next week, some of the best golfers in the world will come to Michiana to compete in the Senior PGA Championship at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.
The tournament started in 1937. The first two were played at Augusta National. Then it came to Benton Harbor, so 2014 is the 75th anniversary for Harbor Shores. After so many years, the trophy is running out of space for the winners names. There is only room for two more, and then organizers will have to add another tier to the trophy to create more space.
This year's event marks the 2nd time in three years Benton Harbor has hosted the Senior PGA Championship. They will host also host in 2016 and 2018.
Golfers begin arriving into town on Monday with the tournament itself starting on Thursday and running through Sunday.
Tickets to the tournament are still available. Click for information.
