Tough driving conditions caused several slide-offs and scary moments for drivers this week.
A semi went over a bridge rail on the Toll Road early Tuesday morning, near the intersection of County Road 21 in the Bristol area. Amazingly, the driver only received minor injuries. It happened between midnight and 1a.m at mile marker 98.5.
In a separate incident, an accident involving two semis shut down both the westbound and eastbound lanes of the Toll Road at mile marker 63 near New Carlisle.
There's no word yet on the seriousness of injuries, but ambulances were called to the scene. At one point, dispatchers said someone was trapped.
Police have not released an official cause of either crash, but drifting overnight created visibility issues as well as slick roads.
