Local women will gather this month to raise funds to assist underprivileged women receive life-saving cancer screenings.
The Secret Sisters Society is hosting the 11th annual luncheon and style show on Wednesday, September 12th.
WNDU's Tricia Sloma will be hosting the event along with Dr. Michael Method, medical oncologist and medical advisor to the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Women's Task Force.
The event will be held at the University of Notre Dame’s Compton Family Ice Arena at 12 p.m.
It is organized by the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Women's Task Force. The task force was started by a group of cancer survivors.
According to the organization, more than 4,000 free mammograms have been provided as a result of the luncheon and show.
All models at the event are cancer survivors.
