The Starke County Commissioners is short on applicants for several county boards.
According to WKVI Radio, on Monday the commissioners will discuss appointments for 2013, but this year they do not have any applicants for some of the vacant seats.
The county not received any applications for a seat on the Convention and Visitors Commission board. There has also not been a Republican appointment for the city plan commission, anyone interested in filling that seat must live within Knox’s jurisdiction.
Commissioner Kathy Norem says they are expecting vacancies in a few more boards in no one applies, including the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission and the Knox Board of Zoning Appeals.
The commissioners said they will confirm any made appointments, and discuss possible alternatives if the spots remain vacant at a meeting Monday morning at 9 a.m.
