Area schools are racking up the snow days.
Now there are questions about how some districts are going to make them up.
Starting at 7:00 Wednesday morning the South Bend Schools transportation department was working to get the fleet of school buses ready to go back to school Thursday.
Superintendent Carole Schmidt says this winter has been unusual for the district considering they didn’t use any snow days last year but seven so far this year.
“Last year we didn't use any of our days,” says Superintendent Carole Schmidt says, “It just depends really on the weather and this is just really different.”
The first two days were waived by the state. The two other days are built into the calendar, leaving three days taken this week that will have to be made up.
