The South Bend School Board has censured its vice president, Bill Sniadecki, for allegedly violating board policies and breaking state laws.
The board voted 4 to 2 in favor of the resolution during a heated meeting Friday. Among other things, Sniadecki, who was just re-elected to another term, is accused of yelling at board members and corporation employees, and even threatening some.
Dawn Jones was the only board member besides Sniadecki opposed to the decision. Jones says he does need to quiet his tone, but that he's guilty of nothing more than what some other board members have done in the past.
The censure means Sniadecki is stripped of his vice president title and could face further discipline if he continues to act in a way other board members believe violates policies.
