Two high school students will get a chance at college thanks to Saturday's South Bend Police Department's Fallen Officer Ride.
The program started four years ago and has been growing in numbers every year.
This year almost 100 motorcycles hit the road.
For $20.00, riders get a historical motorcycle trip to some of the cemeteries where fallen police are buried and some event gear.
The proceeds go to the Fallen Officer scholarship program to help high school students with college.
"This program was about to die when I took over this particular aspect of it and put this together 4 years ago,” said Sergeant Tom Cameron. “Without this being, 4 years now running, we wouldn't be able to do that, so it's enabled me to see more kids go off to college."
The program is meant to honor fallen heroes of the past and provide help to children of the future.
