A scam is targeting Indiana businesses with a claiming to come from the state.

The letter asks business owners to pay a $125 annual fee for record keeping and processing.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, it cites state laws, and has a "return by" date, listing an address that actually leads to a UPS store in Speedway, Indiana.

A similar letter circulated in 2008 and more than a hundred businesses fell victim to the scam.

Any questions about suspicious state mailings can be directed to the Secretary of State's Office.
