A Sawyer man is dead after he stepped in front of an oncoming car.

36-year-old Bradley Miner parked his 1999 Jeep Wrangler on the shoulder of I-94 at the 29 mile marker, for unknown reasons around 1:15 a.m. Saturday.

Police say he left his belongings in his car, and stepped in front of a 2005 Buick LaSabre driven by a 25-year-old Gary man.

Miner was pronounced dead at the scene of massive blunt force trauma.

The driver of the Buick was not hurt.
