Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center has stepped in to help care for some Memorial Hospital patients affected by the downtown South Bend blackout.

"As of 10 a.m., Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center has received and treated 14 patients who were diverted from Memorial Hospital of South Bend," said Pamela Henderson, SJRMC Spokesperson and Public Information Officer. "These patients have come from a wide variety of categories. We will continue to work with Memorial to ensure vital healthcare services remain accessible to the community."

"SJRMC and Saint Joseph Physician Network operations have not been affected by the power outage," Henderson explains. "All patient services will continue uninterrupted. If patients have questions about a scheduled appointment, they are asked to contact their physician's office."
