Thursday, the South Bend Parks Department hosted a media information day to showcase all of the programs going on in the area this summer.
Representatives from various organizations were at Pinhook Pavillion Thursday afternoon to share how people can take advantage of summer programs.
From concert series to athletics, educational classes, bike paths, golf and more, the Recreation Department says there is something to entertain folks of all ages. Plus, organizers say the activities are at little to no cost.
"It's more or less a one stop shop where you can come in, see what's going on and not sit and think what am I going to do here,” says Camps are a prime example," says the director of marketing at the South Bend Parks and Rec. "South Bend Parks is our best kept secret. There are more things to do on any given day or week in the City of South Bend."
