NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) A southern Indiana man who allegedly impersonated a police officer was arrested after he made the mistake of pulling over an off-duty State Police detective.
John A. Brock of Borden faces charges of impersonating a police officer, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. The 42-year-old Borden man was being held Sunday at the Floyd County Jail, pending an initial court hearing.
The News and Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1eNxUxH ) Brock was arrested Saturday after he allegedly pulled over an off-duty State Police detective sergeant, flashed a gold badge at him and motioned him into a parking lot.
Brock allegedly pulled up next to the detective, told him he was an officer and cursed and yelled before driving off. He was arrested after exiting a nearby store.
