RoofSit 2014 Kids Day

It’s a tough topic to talk about but a necessary one. Research shows about five children die every day as a result of child abuse and there's another report of abuse every ten seconds.

That's why U-93 and other organizations are working to make a difference in our community during its weeklong annual event, RoofSit. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and money to help stop child abuse.

U-93 DJ’s are camping out, eating, sleeping and working from the Martin’s located in Heritage Square.

Monday is RoofSit 2014 Kids Day. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. tons of activities will be going on right outside Martin’s. They will have a treasure hunt, bean bag toss, face painting, kiddy putt-putt and more.
It’s a great way to have some fun with your kids and of course donate.

Last year's event raised more than $100,000. In total, they have raised more than $2,000,000.

If you want to donate or want more information you can head to the U-93’s website, Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County website or RoofSit 2014 Kids Day Facebook page.
