Residents of South Bend's River Park neighborhood have returned home after parts of the area were evacuated because of a gas leak.
It happened just before 4 pm on 29th Street between Pleasant and Northside.
A tree trimming company cut a two-inch gas line while taking out a root.
About two blocks of homes were evacuated and sent to Nuner Elementary School until they were allowed back home.
But some of those residents say the whole thing was a mess.
“It's frustrating, it's beyond frustrating, said resident Seth Jokerst . “My wife is at work and I have to call her and let her know. The roads will be blocked off when she gets home. I don't think it should be that hard to give someone a ballpark answer.”
The neighborhood was given the all-clear around 6:30 p.m.
