Reward offered in cold case murder

SOUTH BEND Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for help solving a cold case murder that happened 12 years ago.

The body of 43-year-old Gary McCracken was found in an alley on North College Street in South Bend on March 19, 2002. He had been shot to death.

He was in the area to repossess a vehicle for Affordable Auto when an unknown suspect confronted him.

Anyone with information on his death is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling (574) 288-STOP. They are offering up to $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
