SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- An animal rights organization is doubling their contribution in an effort to find whoever shot and killed 21 animals.

Investigators revealed yesterday that the animals were shot to death with either a BB gun or pellet gun.

They were strewn about an area along the 200 block of Indiana Avenue in South Bend.

The bodies found included a family's cat, some squirrels and a possum.

Police have identified a suspect, but still don't have a solid witness, who saw the shootings happen.

Now the Alley Cat Allies organization is doubling their reward offered --to $1,500 dollars-- in hopes someone will come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call Michiana Crimes Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
