South Bend, Ind. It only comes twice a year and it's almost over. Dozens of people have come out to get a taste of Downtown South Bend.
Restaurants like the South Bend Chocolate Cafe, Fiddler's Hearth and Cafe Navarre are all involved in summer restaurant week.
The restaurants have special deals for two weeks to help bring out folks around the area, in hopes that people continue to come back again. And so far, it's working.
"But I think there’s a lot of promotion for the event,” says John Dawson the general manager of Café Navarre. “It brings people from outlying areas and they get introduced to everything that we have downtown. Hopefully they return to a show at the Morris or dinner at one of the restaurants when they maybe normally wouldn't do that."
Restaurant week ends July 7, this Sunday.
