St. Joseph County A long awaited construction project started Monday, going from Mishawaka all the way to Elkhart.
NewsCenter 16 has taken a lot of complaints about State Road 933 or Lincoln Way East in St. Joseph County. It has seen a lot of wear and tear and this past winter was extra rough on the road.
Crews have patched the area on several occasions, but drivers said its not enough. Monday, the Indiana Department of Transportation begins resurfacing the road.
The repaving goes from Capital Avenue, all the way to the Elkhart County Line or Ash Road. State Road 933 won't be closed but there will be lane restrictions and flaggers directing traffic.
It’s expected to cause delays, so you might want to use a different route to avoid congestion. This is a long term project, but there's no word yet on how long it will take to complete.
