An Indiana judge took a creative approach to sentencing a registered sex offender.
Larry Bass had to go on a "walk of shame" in front of the Pike County courthouse with a sign around his neck that read "I am a registered sex offender and I bought alcohol for kids."
The punishment was a response to Bass violating his parole.
The unusual sentence got people's attention with many snapping photos and others yelling out their opinions as they drove by.
The prosecutor said if this deters crime, it is worth it.
Bass said the experience was humiliating.
In addition to the sign, Bass will serve 823 days in a work release facility.
