The Red Cross of St. Joseph County is streamlining their services and that means John Pinter will no longer be Executive Director.
His position along with that of the Executive Director in Fort Wayne have been eliminated. Tuesday was his last meeting with the red cross.
“All non profits have a challenge right now with funding,” says Red Cross Executive Director John Pinter. “The economy is still iffy, it's coming back a little bit. But we need people to support. And you know what they have been generous and kind and supportive of the American Red Cross. Here and across the country and the world for that matter.”
Several other Red Cross positions statewide have reportedly been eliminated. The community and emergency services director will assume many of Pinter's responsibilities, but will reportedly work under the direction of the Indianapolis Chapter.
The Chapter will still serve five surrounding counties.
