South Bend Record numbers are expected at an RV show that starts Friday. The annual Valley RV & Camping Show is back in South Bend and will be parked at the Century Center this weekend.
It took crews hours to get more than 100 RVs in the center. They had to bring them all in, one by one, from Elkhart.
It’s an exciting time in the RV industry because the president of Great Lakes RV Center in Elkhart says business is going really well and they expect to have a great year.
“The RV industry is enjoying tremendous success with shipment numbers at a six year high. The total for all new units sold in 2013 is projected to rise about 11% from last year to over 316,000 units.” said Matt Rose, Director of Recreation Vehicles with Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council.
This is the first Indiana show of 2014 and will feature RVs from five of Northern Indiana’s top dealers. On display and on sale will be a variety of lightweight to full size travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers and motor homes.
Great Lakes RV Center in Elkhart is also giving cash away every day. They will give it away two times Friday, four times Saturday and two times Sunday. Along with that, on Sunday, if you buy something and bring in a church bulletin, Great Lakes RV will donate $100 to your church.
