In a major sign of economic recovery, RV shipments have hit a 6-year high.

Wholesale RV shipments in November were up 12 percent from last year. The increase was driven largely by motorhome shipments, which were up 32.3 percent. Towable RV shipments climbed 2.4percent from last year.

The majority of RV sales still come from towable RV’s. 18,711towable units were sold in November, compared to 3,037 motorhome units.

As of November, 299,451had been sold in 2013.
