It's a nationwide advertising effort that highlights all the state has to offer and now the "Pure Michigan" campaign is going musical to help get its message across.
Michigan's tourism development agency has unveiled this video sing-along set to the tune of the hit song "Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepson, but altered with lyrics to fit the pro-Michigan theme.
The footage was shot during a one-week, 50-city road trip to promote the wolverine state as a place to visit, live, work and create a business.
It opens with two people hopping into a car and speeding off before cutting to scenes from all over Michigan. From a parachutist in Mackinaw city to firefighters in a parade in Newberry to sites in Marquette, Detroit and even nearby Portage and Kalamazoo.
Each scene shows folks singing parts of "the pure michigan statewide sing-along" whose lyrics say "it's always a good time" to be in Michigan.
