Monday will be the last chance for the public to weigh in on the proposed special assessment in Benton Harbor.
The assessment is one of three options presented by Emergency Financial Manager Joseph Harris to make up for the million dollar shortfall the city faces after two millage renewals were rejected by voters on Election Day.
Ten percent of property owners in Benton Harbor must sign a petition in order to place the proposal on a referendum.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday night at the Business Growth Center at 200 Paw Paw Ave. near downtown Benton Harbor.
