Investigators have found the body of a Michiana doctor who went missing during a hike in Colorado.
Doctor James McGrogan started working for Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in February.
He was hiking with a group of friends near Vail, Colorado on March 14, when he decided to go ahead of the group.
They were supposed to meet up at a hut where they would all spend the night, but the other hikers saw no signs of McGrogan.
On Thursday, two skiers in the Booth Falls area, north of Vail, found a body in an ice fall.
Booth Falls is located about four and a half miles east of the trail that leads to the hut where McGrogan and the other hikers were supposed to meet.
The Eagle County Coroner's Office Friday confirmed that the body found is that of McGrogan.
The cause and manner of death will be determined after an autopsy is performed.
