"Prep Rally" prepares high school students for career or college

Students and their parents have the chance to learn more about extended learning opportunities at South Bend Schools, this weekend.

The 2nd annual "Prep Rally" is taking place at Riley High School on Saturday, December 7 from 9-11:30 a.m.

8th, 9th and 10th graders, along with their parents, are invited to attend the rally to learn more about hands-on opportunities in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs at South Bend Schools.

There are 23 pathways in the program, ranging from Criminal Justice to Journalism. The CTE Program is 2 years for High School Juniors and Seniors. They will earn between 8-12 dual credits, transferable to some colleges. Some are also eligible to complete industry certifications, free of charge.
